70's/80's Punk with a modern Twist

Tools:
  • Hair brush
  • Tail comb
  • Hot rollers
  • Kirby pins
  • U pins
  • 4 tails comb
  • Small hair bands
How to:
  • Brush the hair. Section the hair on the both sides to that you have the central part of the hair chosen. If you look down towards the face you need to have the parting from the both sides of the eyes, right in the midle of the face.
  • You start quite large from the fron but you go more as a point on the back. This is going to help bwith the structurev and shape.
  • This section of the hair you are goint to put rollers in.
  • Take a small section an put the roller in. You have to  bring the hair towards the face, put the roller and roll towards the back the back.
  • The second section you migh need to put two rollers because the hair line is wider and you might not be able to put the whole amount on hair on one roller.
  • Put the rollers all the way down to the neck.
  • Once you have put the rollers in, you can plat the sides or be creative and twist it for example, in order to have it tight on sides. This allowes you rollers to have enough time to cool down.
  • When it cool down, take the rollers off.
  • Take each section and back comb. Go for a strong, structured back combing. The structure that you gave to the hair with the rollers will help you to have more volume. Back comb every section you have.
  • You can style it, keeping it very high and then blend the edges with the 4tails-comb, or you can bring it back and start moldin it into a more rouned shape.

I have experimented more so I have created another similar look but changing a little bit the shape of it:

        The fashion twist
How to:
  • Section the hair into 5 parts. The first one goes from ear to ear. Work with the natural flow of the head to have nice and clear sections.
  • Pop each section into a ponytail.
  • Take the first ponytail, wrap around your fingers and the twist it till creating a kind of circle. Secure it with the kirbu pins.
  • Take a U pin to create nice texture and shape and to cover the elastic from each ponytail.
  • Do the same with the second ponytail, and make sure. Starl molding it the way you want it to sit.
  • With an U pin clope the gap that you have created by doig both twists.
  • Make sure you cher every area and every line before you are moving to the next section.
  • The longer the hair the better it is, becaus e you can get a better twist.
